What MAP monitoring involves
A minimum advertised price (MAP) policy sets the lowest price a reseller may advertise for a product. Policies only work if someone checks them, and checking dozens of reseller pages by hand rarely happens consistently.
MAP monitoring software reads reseller prices on a schedule, compares them with the MAP, and records the evidence when a seller goes below it. What you do with a violation — a message to the reseller, an escalation, or nothing — remains a commercial decision.
Luska handles the checking and the evidence for the seller URLs you track. It flags violations; it does not contact resellers or enforce the policy for you.
How Luska does it
- 1
Set a MAP per product
In pricing controls (Professional and above), enter the minimum advertised price for each product and switch monitoring on.
- 2
Add the seller pages to watch
Add each reseller's or competitor's product page URL. Luska checks them daily.
- 3
Violations logged with evidence
When a tracked price falls below the MAP, Luska records a violation with the price, the date and a screenshot of the page where one can be captured.
- 4
A ranked feed
Open violations are listed by how far below MAP they are and how long they have been open, so the worst cases come first.
- 5
Your own prices stay compliant
If you also sell direct, Luska's recommendations for your own price never go below a MAP you have set.
Who it's for
Brands with a reseller network
Who need evidence of which tracked sellers advertise below policy, and for how long.
Retailers bound by supplier MAP
Who want their own pricing to stay compliant while still competing.
Not a web-wide seller search
Luska checks the URLs you give it. It does not search the web or marketplaces for unknown sellers.
Running a MAP programme with monitoring data
Publish the policy first
Monitoring works best when resellers know the MAP and the consequences of breaking it. The data then supports a conversation rather than starting one.
Track the sellers that matter
Start with your largest resellers and the products most often discounted. Add more URLs as the programme matures.
Use depth and age
A violation 1% below MAP for a day is different from one 15% below for a month. Luska ranks open violations by both, so effort goes where it counts.
Keep evidence with each case
A screenshot and timestamp make follow-up straightforward. Luska stores them with each violation where a screenshot can be captured.
What it costs

Every new workspace starts with a 14-day trial of Professional. No card is needed, and nothing is charged when the trial ends.
MAP monitoring is available on Professional and above, from €449 a month, and is included in the 14-day trial.
Frequently asked questions
Does Luska enforce MAP for me?
No. It detects and documents violations on the pages you track. Contacting resellers or acting on the policy stays with you.
What evidence does Luska keep?
For each violation: the product, the seller, the MAP, the advertised price, when it was detected, and a screenshot of the page where one could be captured.
Can Luska find sellers I do not know about?
No. You add the seller product URLs you want to watch. Price-comparison sites are kept as reference only.
How often are prices checked against MAP?
Daily, as part of the normal competitor price check.
Will Luska ever recommend a price below my MAP?
No. When a MAP is set for a product, recommendations for your own price stay at or above it.
