Pricing challenges for event organizers
Tickets go unsold or sell out too cheap
Static tier pricing ignores demand signals. Hot events sell out in hours at face value, leaving 30%+ yield on the table; soft events stay 60% empty at full price.
No time-decay logic
As the event approaches, demand and willingness-to-pay shift. Most ticketing platforms can't adjust prices based on sell-through, time-to-event, and remaining capacity.
No benchmarking against comparable events
What's a fair price for your festival, conference, or show? Without competitive intelligence on similar events, you're guessing.
Announcement-driven demand spikes ignored
Headliner announcements, sponsor reveals, and media coverage create demand spikes that static pricing can't capture.
How Luska helps event organizers and venues
Sell-through forecasting, time-decay pricing, and comparable-event intelligence — yield management built for event capacity.
Time-decay pricing per tier
Luska computes the right price per ticket tier based on sell-through pace, days-to-event, and remaining capacity. Lift prices as the event fills; defend yield as time runs out.
Per-tier optimizationSell-through forecasting
Forecast final sell-through per tier using historical comparable events, current pickup pace, and demand drivers (announcements, sponsor reveals, media).
Comparable-event comp sets
Define comparable events for each tier. Live collection of their ticket prices is in development; until then prices are modelled, labelled as such, and kept out of the yield engine.
Autopilot price adjustments
Set guardrails per tier (min price, max change, sell-through thresholds) and let Luska adjust prices automatically. You stay in control of the policy.
Announcement-driven lifts
Add demand drivers to the calendar (headliner reveal, sponsor announcement, press coverage) and Luska lifts prices automatically for the resulting demand spike.
Channel distribution
Push new tier prices to your ticketing platform via webhook, CSV, or daily digest. Works with most ticketing systems without custom integration.
Common Use Cases
Music festivals & concerts
Dynamic pricing across early-bird, regular, and door tiers. Capture demand spikes from headliner announcements and sold-out signals.
Conferences & B2B events
Time-decay pricing on early-bird tiers, sell-through monitoring, and comparable-event benchmarking for industry conferences.
Sports & live entertainment
Per-section yield management for venues with variable demand by date, opponent, or performer.
Theaters & cultural venues
Optimize tier pricing per show, day-of-week, and lead time. Sell soft midweek shows; defend yield on weekend hits.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from existing dynamic ticketing?
Most ticketing platforms only offer simple early-bird tiers or operator-set price changes. Luska runs continuous yield optimization with sell-through forecasting, time-decay logic, and comparable-event intelligence — the same pricing science used in airlines and hotels.
Do I need to integrate with my ticketing platform?
No. Luska pushes new tier prices via webhook or CSV. Most ticketing platforms (Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, See Tickets, Tixserve, etc.) can ingest these formats without custom integration.
Can autopilot raise prices without my approval?
Only within your guardrails — min/max price per tier, max change %, blackout periods, and an auto-apply threshold. Anything outside requires explicit approval.
How do I add comparable events for benchmarking?
In the Comp Set tab, add 2–5 comparable events (URL or manual entry). Automatic collection of their tier prices is in development; until it ships, the grid shows modelled prices, clearly labelled, and they are not used to set your prices.
What's the minimum capacity to benefit?
Events with 200+ tickets across 2+ tiers see meaningful autopilot decisions. Below that, manual tier pricing remains practical.
