The Luska Manifesto
Pricing is the highest-leverage decision a business makes. So why is it still made on instinct?
Luska exists to turn pricing into a discipline. Evidence over opinion. Speed over committee. Guardrails over guesswork. This is what we believe, and what we will not compromise on.
Pricing is a decision, not a guess.
Every price reflects a hypothesis about a customer, a competitor and a moment. We make that hypothesis explicit, testable and reversible.
Speed is a moat.
Markets move in hours, not quarters. The business that re-prices in minutes wins margin from the one that re-prices in weeks.
Guardrails before autonomy.
Cost floors, MAP, willingness-to-pay ceilings, ±15% caps. Autonomy without constraints is recklessness wearing a lab coat.
Recommendations must justify themselves.
Every suggestion ships with the evidence: competitor median, elasticity tier, demand signal, expected revenue impact. No black boxes.
Measure the decision, not the dashboard.
Attribution within seven days. If a recommendation didn't move revenue, we say so. If it did, we prove it.
Humans stay in the loop, until they choose not to.
Approve, edit, auto-pilot. The operator decides how much trust to extend, and earns the right to extend more.
What we will not do.
- —
We will not race to the bottom. Discounting is the easiest decision and the most expensive habit.
- —
We will not ship a recommendation we cannot explain in one sentence to the operator who has to defend it.
- —
We will not move a price by less than 1% or 1 currency unit. Noise is not insight.
- —
We will not violate MAP, breach a cost floor, or ignore a willingness-to-pay ceiling. Ever.
- —
We will not pretend a model replaces judgment. We build tools that sharpen it.
